In a complex force field of stakeholders and interests, initiators of change must be able to creatively initiate and snowball positive change. They must bring to life relevant solutions that are good for business, customers and society. In essence, these people are challenged with designing tomorrow’s businesses. In fact, the processes, methods, tools, and underlying mind-sets that these business shifts require, resemble the processes, methods, tools, and underlying mind-sets that the design profession has been developing over the last decade. In a sense the design profession is shifting towards a role of initiating change. And design professionals are developing traits that they share with many modern business leaders.
