On the occasion of MCBW 2016, Ingo Maurer invited Dutchman Dirk Vander Kooij to present his work in Munich. The designer was an intern in Ingo Maurer‘s team for a short period in 2009. His furniture made of recycled PE, a material Dirk Vander Kooij created himself and named “Elephant Skin”, was already pesented by Ingo Maurer in 2009 in Milan and Munich.
In the recent years, Vander Kooij has become one of the most creative and influential Dutch designers. He is creating products with a strong visual impact. In the design of chairs, tables, vases and light fixtures Dirk Vander Kooij combines tradition and technology, craft and digital robot techniques.
Of course, there will be enough space left for Ingo Maurer‘s own work, both new and iconic, at his 700 sqm Showroom.
